OmniOCR Privacy Policy

Introduction
This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as 'this Policy') sets forth how Shunsuke Sakae (hereinafter referred to as 'the Operator'), as a sole proprietor, handles users' personal and other information in the OCR service 'OmniOCR' (hereinafter referred to as 'the Service'). The Operator complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and regulations, and strives to appropriately protect personal information through organizational measures.
1. Information We Collect
The Operator may collect the following information when users use the Service: 1) Account registration information (name, email address, password, etc.), 2) Service access logs (IP address, browser information, access time, etc.), 3) Images and documents uploaded to the Service and their OCR analysis results, 4) Payment information (credit card information is securely managed by Stripe, and the Operator does not retain full data). The Operator will not collect sensitive personal information without prior consent except when permitted by law.
2. Purpose of Information Use
The Operator uses the collected information for the following purposes: 1) To provide, maintain, and improve the Service, 2) To respond to user inquiries and verify identity, 3) To process payments for paid plans, 4) To send necessary communications regarding service operation, such as system errors and maintenance information, 5) To analyze access and usage statistics for service quality improvement, 6) To monitor and prevent unauthorized activities, 7) To develop new services and features, 8) To create statistical data that cannot identify individuals.
3. Information Sharing and Provision
The Operator will not provide personal information to third parties without user consent. However, this does not apply in cases where: 1) Disclosure is required by law, 2) Protection of life, body, or property is necessary and obtaining user consent is difficult, 3) Exercise of the Operator's rights is deemed necessary, 4) Information provision is necessary due to business transfer, merger, or reorganization (appropriate procedures and security measures will be taken). The Operator may outsource the handling of personal information to external parties within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Operator will properly supervise the outsourced parties through contractual obligations and other appropriate measures.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Service may use cookies and similar technologies to improve convenience and analyze traffic. Users can refuse to receive cookies by changing their browser settings, but some Service functions may become unavailable. The Service also uses Google Analytics to understand website usage. 5. Security Measures
The Operator implements appropriate security measures to protect user information from unauthorized access and information leakage. Credit card information is securely managed by Stripe and is not directly retained by the Operator. The Operator will take reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, or damage of personal information.
6. Data Retention Period
Images and analysis results uploaded to the Service may be automatically deleted after the retention period set for each organization or project expires. When users voluntarily delete data, the Operator will delete the relevant data as promptly as possible (though it may remain in backups for a certain period).
7. User Rights
Users can request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or suspension of use of their personal information held by the Operator in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. After verifying the identity of the requesting person, the Operator will respond to such requests in accordance with the law. Request procedures and identity verification processes will be handled according to methods separately specified by the Operator.
8. Changes to Privacy Policy
The Operator may modify this Policy when deemed necessary. Changes to this Policy will be notified on the Service website, and users will be deemed to have agreed to the changes when they continue to use the Service.
